Ford Launches 3 HR for Rumble Ponies Saturday, May 16th , 2026 It was a terrific day for Tom Ford, who ripped three home runs at Binghamton Fields, and a disappointing one for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 9-8, to the Akron RubberDucks. "He was instant offense," Binghamton skipper Alex Castillo said. "Tom really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Ford collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Binghamton Fields. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. Tom Ford hit a two-run home run off Travis Sparks in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Travis Sparks in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Cesar Cano in the 8th. So far on the season, Ford is hitting .375 with 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 6 hits and played in 5 games. |
