Super Swinger -- Pacheco Slams 5 Hits Friday, April 24th , 2026 Alex Pacheco put on a hitting clinic at Fightin Phils Stadium, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Reading pitchers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Portland Sea Dogs, who still fell, 17-14. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Pacheco told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Alex Pacheco singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jared McCaffrey in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. This season, Pacheco is hitting .339 with 20 hits, 5 home runs, 13 RBIs, scored 9 runs and played in 14 games. |
