Lopez Jacks 3 into the Stands Tuesday, April 14th , 2026 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Somerset Patriots. New Hampshire third baseman Manny Lopez tripled up on the home runs to propel the Fisher Cats to a win, 16-4, at Fisher Cats Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Somerset manager Josh Sauer said. "Lopez hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Lopez collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Manny Lopez struck out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Don O'Reilly in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Matt Hardy in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Matt Hardy in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far this season, Lopez has put up a .375 batting average with 9 hits, 4 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
