"Manuel was just locating so well and using his pitches," Somerset manager Josh Sauer said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Benitez recorded 7 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Reading manager Taylor Shari said in postgame comments to BNN.
