Takase Blisters Somerset Monday, August 11th , 2025 All game long, Reading's Kodai Takase was rattling the walls at Patriots Grove and banging out base hits against the Somerset Patriots. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 6-hit day and the Fightin Phils had a win, 8-7. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 24-year-old first baseman said, "Get 6 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Kodai Takase singled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. At present, Takase is batting .340 and has collected 2 home runs, 17 RBIs, .400 OBP and scored 11 runs. |
