GONE! 3 HRs for Escobar Sunday, July 6th , 2025 Portland Sea Dogs right fielder Dave Escobar left the Hartford pitching staff in ruins at Ballpark of Hartford, beating the Yard Goats, 12-7, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Escobar told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Portland right fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. Dave Escobar flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bill Holden in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Bill Holden in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Wilson Arriola in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this year, Escobar is batting .337 with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
