Baysox Salgado Smacks 5 Hits Wednesday, June 18th , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Ernesto Salgado of the Bowie Baysox at Bowie Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Salgado finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Baysox to a win, 17-3. "Salgado was really good and we were really bad," groaned Flying Squirrels manager Eddie Baker. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Ernesto Salgado hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off John Smith in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year, Salgado has hit at a .287 clip with 43 hits, 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
