TEX Player of the Week Awarded Monday, May 5th , 2025 Springfield fans have something to crow about today as Springfield third baseman Richard Amador nabbed the Texas League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Amador. He posted a .435 average (10-for-23) this past week with 4 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. This year, Amador has socked 17 hits in 44 at-bats for a .386 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .491 pace and his totals also include 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
