Higareda Smacks 5 Hits for Cardinals Thursday, April 10th , 2025 It was high-fives all around for Luis Higareda at Busch Stadium. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Higareda smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 5-4 win. "Luis was hitting everything," said Cardinals manager Chris Stanfield. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Naturals manager Karl Maille told BNN beat writers that Higareda "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Higareda oversleeps next time." Luis Higareda singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesus Benavides in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. |
