Gray 5-for-7 Against Cardinals Thursday, May 14th , 2026 Midland left fielder Nick Gray had a big day at Busch Stadium against the Springfield Cardinals. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-7 and led to the 8-7 RockHounds triumph over Springfield. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Gray said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Nick Gray grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, struck out in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off Dan Woodward in the 12th. For the year, Gray has hit .409 with 2 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 24 runs. |
