Harris Slaps 5 Hits Tuesday, April 28th , 2026 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Travis Harris of the Amarillo Sod Poodles had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 13-2 win over the Tulsa Drillers at Drillers Grove. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Travis Harris singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roel van der Linden in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th. In this current campaign Harris is hitting at a .491 clip with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. |
