RockHounds Starter Wins TEX Pitching Award Monday, September 1st , 2025 The Texas League hitters didn't have a chance in August when the Midland RockHounds manager wrote "Tanner" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, Darren Tanner held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 5-1 mark and 2.84 ERA in 6 starts. The talented RockHounds star pitched 44.1 innings, fanned 35 and held opposing teams to a .241 average. For his superb mound work Tanner was named the TEX Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. So far this season, Tanner has a record of 13-4 with 149 strikeouts and 73 walks in 173 innings and a 3.54 ERA. |
