Mena Sensational, 5-for-5 Wednesday, August 27th , 2025 Arkansas second baseman Carlos Mena had a big day at Ballpark of Arkansas against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. The 20-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 7-5 Travelers triumph over Northwest Arkansas. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Mena said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Carlos Mena singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Joel Napier in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Mena is batting .330 with 5 home runs. |
