Militello Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Saturday, July 19th , 2025 It was a downpour of hits for Chris Militello at Sod Poodles Field. The Frisco RoughRiders third baseman tore into Amarillo for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace the RoughRiders to a rain-delayed 11-7 victory. Amarillo manager Manny Vera bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by Militello's big day. "He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like Militello was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame." Chris Militello singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 10th, doubled in the 11th and struck out in the 12th.
