Maccioni Belts 5 Hits Monday, July 7th , 2025 It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Allvaro Maccioni of the Amarillo Sod Poodles. The Amarillo second baseman gave it his all and dominated San Antonio Missions pitching at Missions Park, finishing with a great 5-for-6 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Missions going home the winner, 13-6. "There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Maccioni said. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead." Allvaro Maccioni struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thus far in 2025, Maccioni is hitting .400 with no home runs, 4 RBIs, 9 runs scored and has compiled a .444 OBP. |
