Great Day for Pinal, Hits for Cycle Sunday, July 6th , 2025 Armando Pinal had a day to remember at Sod Poodles Field, but the memory will be bittersweet. Even though Pinal hit for the cycle, his Frisco RoughRiders still fell to the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 6-5. The 27-year-old left fielder went 4-for-4 with 3 runs batted in and 1 run scored in the loss. "It's a heartbreaker for Armando," said Frisco manager Sean Wright. "He deserved to get a win after a day like that." Armando Pinal doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Maloney in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Pinal has delivered 40 hits in 114 at-bats for a .351 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .417 clip and his totals also include 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored. This year Pinal has played in 30 games. |
