Alas 5-for-6 Against Wichita
Friday, June 27th , 2025
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Max Alas of the Corpus Christi Hooks. Alas went on a tear at Hooks Ballpark and cracked hit after hit off Wichita pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 22-year-old first baseman had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Despite Alas's personal accolades, the Wichita Wind Surge walked off the field with the 6-3 win.
Max Alas singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Smith in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
Alas is currently hitting at a .323 pace with 6 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 17 times.
