Great Stroke: Allen Gets 6 Hits Wednesday, June 4th , 2025 Zachary Allen exploded for a barrage of base hits at RoughRiders Grounds. The Corpus Christi shortstop had a field day in his team's 11-3 triumph over the Frisco RoughRiders, finishing 6-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Allen must have focused at least 6 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Zachary Allen singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year, Allen is batting .349 with 8 home runs and 33 RBIs. |
