Gwinnett Center Fielder Picked IL Player of the Week Monday, May 5th , 2025 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Gwinnett's Bill Mathews put up last week were the envy of the league, as Mathews came away with International League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run and 10 RBIs last week as he posted his .481 batting average. So far this year in 23 games, Mathews is hitting .330 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
