Injury Sidelines Veysey for Season

Brian Veysey has to call it a season. The Louisville Bats starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 08/27/2025 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a torn meniscus and stated that he would not be able to play for 4 months.
The team will likely place Veysey on the injured list today.
Checking out his stats for the season, Veysey has registered 4 wins and 12 losses in 19 starts, posted a 6.07 ERA, and struck out 68 batters in 112.2 innings.

Lehigh Valley Celebrates Playoff Clinch

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will be going to the postseason.
While it remains to be seen if they will officially capture the Northeast Division crown, the club will have a spot in the playoffs.
"It's a weight off our shoulders for sure," said manager Danny Estrada.

League Rules Hernandez Out 2 Games

During the Knights-Red Wings game yesterday at Charlotte Grounds, Charlotte first baseman David Hernandez threw a terrible temper tantrum protesting a third-strike call and was issued a 2-game suspension by the league office.
Hernandez is currently batting .332 with 12 home runs, 55 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 104 hits in 313 at-bats.
