Brito, on Top of His Game, Beats Jacksonville, 8-0 Tuesday, April 29th , 2025 The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp were almost helpless in their 8-0 loss to the Durham Bulls and hurler Antonio Brito. Brito kept the Jumbo Shrimp confused all game, spinning a 2-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Brito," Jacksonville manager John Boatwright said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 24-year-old right-hander had 6 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Brito said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." |
