Rochester Beats Buffalo as Duffee Throws 4-0 Shutout Wednesday, May 27th , 2026 The Buffalo Bisons were almost helpless in their 4-0 loss to the Rochester Red Wings and hurler Ashton Duffee. Duffee kept the Bisons confused all game, spinning a 6-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Duffee," Buffalo manager Bryan Wood said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 26-year-old left-hander had no walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Duffee said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." In 8 starts this season, Duffee has gathered 3 wins while suffering 5 losses. He has pitched 70.1 innings, allowed 78 hits, struck out 36 and has a 3.58 ERA. |
