Great Day for Villanueva -- 5 Hits Saturday, May 23rd , 2026 It was a big day for Jordan Villanueva and he brought the Rochester Red Wings along for the ride. Villanueva led his club to victory, 4-3, over the Memphis Redbirds at Rochester Stadium, smoking Memphis pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 23-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Jordan Villanueva doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Nate Hagberg in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. Thus far this year, Villanueva has hit .311 with 8 home runs and 21 RBIs. |
