Charlotte Stops Messmer Hit Streak Thursday, April 30th , 2026 Lady Luck was not on the side of Pat Messmer or his teammates at Bulls Grounds. Everything went the way of the Charlotte Knights, who not only came away with the 6-4 victory over Durham, but also held Messmer hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 26-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Messmer said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." This year, Messmer is batting .372 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. |
