Jacksonville Blanks Rochester, 6-0 Friday, August 15th , 2025 Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp starter Matt Fox really did a number on the Rochester Red Wings, shutting them out, 6-0, on 6 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 4 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Rochester manager Greg Weaver. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Fox." Thus far this season, Fox has tossed 145 innings in 23 starts, fanned 91 batters, walked 49 and put up a 3.97 ERA with 8 wins and 11 losses. |
