Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Jones Friday, August 8th , 2025 The Toledo Mud Hens stopped the Memphis Redbirds, 5-3, and Rich Jones collected a base hit yet again. The Toledo third baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Jones told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Rich Jones flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th and grounded out in the 6th. To date Jones has chalked up a .357 average with no home runs, driven in 7 runs and scored 7 times. |
