Martinez finished with a 1-for-4 day against the Scranton WB RailRiders. The Lehigh Valley IronPigs shortstop stretched his streak to 25 games as his club grabbed the 8-6 win at RailRiders Park. "It's not easy," a tired-looking Martinez told reporters later. "Everyone's looking for me all the time now, so there's no showing up late to batting practice, and there's no slipping out of the stadium early." Brent Martinez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season, Martinez is batting .322 with 8 home runs. |
