Hitting Streak Still Alive for Benavidez Friday, June 6th , 2025 The hitting streak for Indianapolis left fielder Eddie Benavidez now stands at 20 games, but the Indians dropped today's contest 10-8 to the Norfolk Tides. Benavidez went 3-for-5 in the game. "Things went well for me personally," he said. "I got 3 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Eddie Benavidez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year, Benavidez has batted at a .325 pace with 65 hits, 9 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 27 times. |
