May's #1 Hurler Announced: Kumle Sunday, June 1st , 2025 In May when the Norfolk manager wrote the name "Kumle" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Pete Kumle took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 4-1 mark and 1.01 ERA in 5 starts. The gifted Tides star pitched 35.2 innings, fanned 26 and held opposing teams to a .224 average. For his outstanding mound performance Kumle was named the IL Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. This season, Kumle has gone 5-2 with an ERA of 2.12, posting 49 strikeouts in 59.1 innings. |
