Arizona turned a good performance from starting pitcher Francisco Alberto into a 1-0 triumph over the River Hills Rockets at River Hills Grounds. Alonzo Sanchez notched his 12th save in 16 chances. Today's win puts Arizona at 27-34, while River Hills falls to 17-43.

The Diamondbacks got a big at-bat from third baseman Clint Waddington. For the game, Waddington went 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Arizona a 1-0 lead.

"Francisco giving us the start that he did was huge," said Arizona manager Paul Putzier.
