Blue Jays Slap 11-4 Loss on River Hills
The timely hitting of Armando Braud helped the Toronto Blue Jays down the River Hills Rockets, 11-4. Braud went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Blue Jays. Toronto starter Manny Garcia was credited with the win after throwing 95 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-5. Damani Arrington closed the door for Toronto, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Rockets had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Blue Jays going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old first baseman Daniel Lopez came to the plate. Lopez hit a 2-run double on a full count cutter from River Hills hurler Danny Tindale. It was Lopez's 13th double of the year.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Lopez.

Toronto is now 19-31, while River Hills is 20-29.
