Alcantar Lifts Renegades to 5-3 Triumph
The Lake Wylie Renegades beat the Cincinnati Reds, 5-3, at Renegades Field. Alex Alcantar, who is tied for 4th in the NL with a .346 batting average, starred for Lake Wylie. He was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Cory Corriveau. He's now 2-4. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Renegades. The win puts Lake Wylie at 28-15 this season.

A key moment came when Alcantar faced Cincinnati hurler Pablo Ricardo in the bottom of the second. The Renegades, who were trailing 1-0, had runners on 2nd and 3rd. Alcantar got a 1-0 slider and hit a 2-run single.
