Twins Pull Out Late-Game Win, 4-3
|
The Minnesota Twins and River Hills Rockets played an exciting game.
Robert Negron, who is tied for 9th in the AL with a 2.74 ERA, had a strong outing for the Minnesota Twins against the River Hills Rockets at Target Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The winner was Yi Weng in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Carlos Mujica took the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Minnesota center fielder Mike Clingerman, facing Carlos Mujica, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Twins the 4-3 win.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Clingerman.
The Rockets, now 7-33, have lost 4 straight.
