Twins Get 9-2 Win Versus River Hills

The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Minnesota fans at Target Field.
The Minnesota Twins topped the River Hills Rockets, 9-2, in American League action at Target Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minnesota first baseman Joe Sullivan. Minnesota starter Chad Morrisette was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 6-2.
A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the third. That's when Sullivan hit a curveball from Alexandre Dupond for a 2-run single, putting Minnesota up, 3-1.
"They just got us," said River Hills manager Blake Wheeler, "and that's all I can say."
With the win, Minnesota upped its record to 23-17.
