Renegades Procure 6-1 Victory
|
Getting offensive support from Brandon Washington, the Lake Wylie Renegades topped the River Hills Rockets, 6-1. Washington went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Renegades. The loss drops River Hills to 0-5.
Rob Schiller had a big 2-run home run for the Renegades in the top of the third inning. With Lake Wylie leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Norfleet and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Renegades on top, 3-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Washington told the Lake Wylie Bulletin.
