Rockets Stumble, Lose to Twins
River Hills second baseman Bobby Rodriguez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-4, to Minnesota at Target Field. Rodriguez went 2-3 with a triple and a walk. Tim Perlstein got the win, improving to 3-3. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Today's win puts Minnesota at 22-17, while River Hills falls to 7-31.

Minnesota shortstop Jim Richards contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Twins ahead, 6-2.

"I'm proud to wear a Minnesota jersey," Richards told the Minnesota News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
