Red-Hot Shaw Cools Off River Hills
|
Pittsburgh's Zach Shaw brought his best stuff to PNC Park, shutting down and shutting out the River Hills Rockets, 10-0. He racked up 8 strikeouts, surrendered 5 hits, and issued 1 walk on his way to the victory.
"We barely made him work at all," River Hills manager Blake Wheeler said later. "Pittsburgh could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted."
For the year, Shaw has a 4-0 record with a 2.58 ERA in 7 starts.
