Lake Wylie Slaps 5-1 Loss on San Francisco
|
The Lake Wylie Renegades picked up a win at Renegades Field, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-1. Starting pitcher Salvador Rodriguez played a key role in the triumph. The Giants drop to 11-20, as their fitful start to the 2025 campaign continues.
Martin Albarran had a big 2-run double for the Renegades in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Lake Wylie leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Jose Plascencia and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Renegades ahead, 4-1.
"Salvador was dictating to their hitters," said Lake Wylie manager Scott Barber.
