Lake Wylie Beats Washington, 6-0
|
The Lake Wylie Renegades and Washington Nationals completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Renegades grabbed a win, 6-0, at Nationals Park, overcoming a fine effort from Washington pitcher Victor Herrera. Herrera went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The Renegades, now 21-9, have played well so far.
Martin Albarran went 1 for 3 for Lake Wylie. The 28-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off David Laughlin. It was his 27th RBI of the season.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Albarran said after the game.
