The home crowd had a good time watching the Lake Wylie Renegades and New York Mets get after it.

New York pitcher Jose Delgado had a large part in his team subduing the Lake Wylie Renegades, 6-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. With the loss, Lake Wylie sinks to 16-10.

Delgado, the winner, is now 3-1, after putting the clamps on the Lake Wylie offense. In 7.1 innings of work, he gave up no runs on 4 hits, while collecting 10 Ks.

"Jose is a tough competitor," said New York manager Robert Erwin.
