Putman Leads Cleveland to 5-0 Win Over New York
Kyle Putman was in a mood to talk following the Cleveland Guardians contest against the New York Yankees, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Yankees, 5-0.

"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Putman said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."

The right-hander blanked New York on a 4-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 9 strikeouts.

This season, Putman has gone 4-2 with an ERA of 2.03, posting 46 strikeouts in 44.1 innings.
