San Francisco Beaten, 8-6, by Lake Wylie
|
The Lake Wylie Renegades topped the San Francisco Giants, 8-6, in 10 innings. Lake Wylie left fielder Jon Stober, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Reliever Ken Miller picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Danny Hale took the loss. The save was credited to Michael Ceja, his 7th.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Stober delivered big-time for Lake Wylie, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Danny Hale. The game-changing hit put the Renegades on top, 8-6.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Stober.
With the loss, San Francisco sinks to 10-11.
