Detroit and Lake Wylie duked it out and the Tigers came out victorious.

Danny Bianchi knocked in 3 runs to help Detroit beat Lake Wylie, 9-7. Bianchi produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Tony Castillo, the winner, is now 3-0. He struck out 9 and walked 2 over 5 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. Andy Derickson nailed down his 7th save.

Jerry Hill had a big 2-run home run for the Tigers in the bottom of the third inning. With Detroit trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Cory Corriveau and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Tigers on top, 2-1.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Bianchi said. "That's why you play the game."
