Despite a great performance by River Hills right fielder Eddie Madueno, the Lake Wylie Renegades defeated the Rockets by the score of 9-5 at River Hills Grounds. Madueno went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Lake Wylie is 89-73 and River Hills, with the loss, 50-112.

Rob Schiller came through with a big-time hit for Lake Wylie. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

In postgame comments to the Lake Wylie Bulletin, Schiller said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
