The 7-3 New York win over Lake Wylie was due largely to Andres Sanchez. The Mets center fielder was 3-3 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Today's win puts New York at 70-84, while Lake Wylie falls to 83-71.

New York used the clutch hitting of Manuel Guerrero to snag the win. The catcher drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mets ahead, 7-2. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Guerrero.
