Kansas City and River Hills duked it out and the Royals came out victorious.

The Kansas City Royals knocked off the River Hills Rockets, 6-3, in American League action at River Hills Grounds. Kansas City pitcher and Lawrence, Kansas, native Dave Farrow had an outstanding performance. Today's win puts Kansas City at 75-75, while River Hills falls to 45-105.

Kansas City used the timely hitting of Greg Williams to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royals on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Dave was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Kansas City manager Rob Hunter.
