Lake Wylie registered a win at Renegades Field by beating the Athletics, 5-4. Pitcher John Mannon was one reason why the Renegades triumphed. The win puts Lake Wylie at 80-68 this season.

Rob Schiller had a big solo home run for the Renegades in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Lake Wylie leading 4-3 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 22-year veteran David Monty and punished it. The result was his 33rd home run of the season, which put the Renegades on top, 5-3.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Schiller.
