The New York Mets picked up a win at River Hills Grounds, knocking off the River Hills Rockets, 4-2, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Jeff Bailey played a key role in the triumph. New York is now 65-81, River Hills 43-103.

New York used the timely hitting of Jeremy Root to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mets on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Mets manager Robert Erwin.
