River Hills Loses, 9-4, Despite Madueno Exploits
River Hills left fielder Eddie Madueno had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Madueno went 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, even as New York beat the Rockets, 9-4. New York reliever Justin Jensen was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Benny Teunissen. New York goes to 64-80, River Hills to 42-102.

New York used the hitting of Matt Elul to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mets on top, 9-4. For the game, Elul had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Elul.
