Lake Wylie Renegades pitcher Willie Farias was in top form, leading his team past the Los Angeles Angels, 3-1. Lake Wylie reliever Willie Farias got the win, raising his record to 7-5. Manny Corona was tagged with the loss. Dusty Crostic got the save, his 27th in 37 chances.

The Renegades got a big at-bat from second baseman Brandon Washington. For the game, Washington went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Lake Wylie a 2-0 lead.

"Willie kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Renegades manager Scott Barber.
